# Summarly

> Summarly is pre-accounting software for freelancers and small businesses. It collects your receipts (from email, phone photos, and online orders), matches each one to the right bank transaction, categorizes it, and keeps your books clean and reconciled — ready before they ever reach your accountant.

Summarly is currently in private alpha, focused first on Cyprus and the wider EU (VAT-aware). Access is invite-only via a request-access form on the landing page. It is free during the alpha, and will always keep a free tier.

## What it does

- Captures receipts wherever they appear — forwarded email, phone photos, online order confirmations
- Matches every receipt to the correct bank transaction and attaches it, so nothing is reconstructed from a shoebox at month-end
- Categorizes each line and keeps books up to date for the accountant
- Maps your year of tax and filing obligations — what's due, when, and roughly what it will cost, from your own numbers
- Answers questions about your books in plain language ("What's my VAT position?", "How much on travel since January?") grounded in your real ledger, not guesses
- Exposes a CLI and MCP server so your own AI agents (or your accountant's) can read your books and draft entries through the same approval gate — they propose, you approve
